The first stage consists of a high-quality PP membrane and a coconut shell activated carbon block, which is also blended with limescale protection elements. Q: Why doesn't TDS drop after filtration?
A: TDS is not a professional method to test water quality. TDS stands for total dissolved solids. For example, if you add very little salt (NaCl) to the water and test the TDS level, you will find that the result is dramatically high. The same is true if your water is full of minerals, then the TDS level will also be very high. The DS99/DS99-S system does not remove minerals from the water, it only stops harmful contaminants such as heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium) and over 90% of volatile organic compounds and cysts, and removes a majority of chlorine (99%) from the water. This is the reason why the TDS level you get is not as low as you expect.
Q: Why is water leaking between the mounting base and the faucet?
A: Remove the filter system from the faucet and check that the O-ring on the connection is properly seated. Make sure the thread between the faucet and the filter system is tight so the O-ring can function properly.
Q: Why does the water drip or trickle?
A: Check that the selected adapter is the correct one and that the adapter sealing ring and base sealing ring are securely installed. Check that the spout (E) and stainless steel base (F) are correctly installed. Rinse the filter for 5-10 minutes to activate it. After that, water will no longer leak or drip.
