The second stage has a precision of 0.5 micrometers. The combination of an activated carbon block and lead removal components effectively reduces lead, chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, bad taste, and other harmful contaminants. Q: Why doesn't TDS drop after filtration?
A: TDS is not a professional method to test water quality. TDS stands for total dissolved solids. For example, if you add very little salt (NaCl) to the water and test the TDS level, you will find that the result is dramatically high. The same is true if your water is full of minerals, then the TDS level will also be very high. The UDS99 system does not remove minerals from the water, it only stops harmful contaminants such as heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium) and over 90% of volatile organic compounds and cysts, and removes a majority of chlorine (99%) from the water. This is why the TDS value you get will not be as low as expected.
Q: What should I do if water leaks after installation?
A: If the system leaks after installation, please turn off the water supply first. If the thread is leaking, please wrap plumber's tape around the external thread. If the water leak persists, please contact Frizzlife customer service for solutions.
Q: When should I replace the filter cartridge?
A: We recommend replacing the 1st stage filter (DSF01) every 6-8 months and the 2nd stage filter (DSF02) every 8-12 months. Please note that all listed filter cartridge lifespans are based on actual laboratory tests and the supplied water. The actual filter cartridge lifespan will depend on the feed water quality and daily water consumption.
