The first stage of the under-sink water filter's 1-micron PP layer removes coarse particles such as sediment, dirt, and rust from the water. The second stage (10 micron) consists of extruded activated carbon blocks made from the highest quality coconut shells, blended with ion exchange material and DFA (defluorinating agent). It reduces chlorine, lead, fluoride, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), bad taste and odor, and other harmful contaminants in the water.
